Isle of Wight Festival crowds were treated to a breath-taking headline set by the legendary Sting on Friday night.

The ex-Police frontman started the show with Message In A Bottle, causing a frenzy as the sun set on Seaclose Park.

The hits didn't stop coming, with Sting playing Fields of Gold, Englishman in New York, and Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic.

He also called the Isle of Wight Festival a "legendary, historic" festival.

Sting is currently on tour in the UK and Europe, before heading to Asia and America in the autumn.

His headline set at the Isle of Wight Festival, his first since performing with The Police in 2008, will be one to remember for fans.

Leading the crowd in a mass singalong, Sting closed the set with back-to-back hits Every Breath You Take and Roxanne, before a performance of Fragile saw him and his band bow out.
